Short CV

Lorenz Froihofer studied computer science and computer science management at the Vienna University of Technology and received his Ph.D. in computer science 2007 with distinction. During his study, in research, and in lecturing, he specialized in software engineering of dependable distributed systems, especially within the EU research project DeDiSys (Dependable Distributed Systems). Previously, he worked as a research assistant at MediaTeam Oulu (University of Oulu, Finland) in the area of location-aware smart clients and performed his master's thesis about WLAN security in close cooperation with SIEMENS Austria. As a PostDoc he contributed his expertise in software engineering, security, and dependable systems to the Austrian FIT-IT research project TRADE (Trustworthy Adaptive Quality Balancing through Temporal Decoupling). He moved to the industry in 2011 where he worked as an IT architect and business analyst for Operation Support Systems (OSS) at  A1 Telekom Austria before taking responsibility for the teams in the Offering & Ordering domain.
